Inventory and Scheduling Manager

Job Summary:

As Inventory and Scheduling Manager, you have overall responsibility to implement our inventory process. We need an experienced person to fill this key position.

You will ensure the smooth and accurate flow of raw material and finished goods through our facility. You will analyze finished product requirements, schedule builds, and ensure the timely availability of materials to complete those builds on schedule.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

- Physical inventory location management

- Picking parts for order fulfillment

- Picking parts for product builds

- Confirming receivable counts

- Cycle counts

- Analyzing inventory levels

- Projecting materials requirements

- Scheduling product builds

- Purchase Order creation

Minimum skills and experience required:

- 5 or more years related work experience in inventory management and / or scheduling

- Ability to make decisions and handle responsibility

- Mature personality with professional presence, conduct, appearance, and interpersonal skills

- Associates degree

- Automotive enthusiast

Desirable but not required:

- University degree

- Experience with barcode systems

- Porsche knowledge

- Motorsports experience

Shop Foreman

Job Summary:

Take responsibility for the overall output and productivity of our shop. We need an experienced foreman to supervise and manage our product assembly, fabrication, and installation services.

This is a hands on working position and needs a personality that can motivate, mentor, train and get the job done. Bring your breadth of shop, training, and supervisory skills.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

- Supervise the work of 3-4 shop personnel

- Responsible for implementing our Product Build Schedule and accountable for the entire shop meeting timelines

- You will be accountable for the overall work productivity of all supervised shop personnel

- Allocate work assignments to shop personnel

- Train shop personnel in the correct procedures and techniques for product assembly

- Create assembly processes that deliver required quality and maximum efficiency

- Hands-on participation in product builds and shop work

- Ensure all personnel keep the shop environment tidy

- Ensure all personnel follow proper safety procedures

- Ensure tools are used properly maintained by all personnel and stored properly

- Facilities maintenance

Minimum skills and experience required:

- 10 or more years working in a small scale manufacturing/ assembly shop environment

- 2 or more years in a shop foreman or supervisory role

- Basic machine skills including manual lathe and mill

- Basic welding skills

- Highly mechanically inclined and skilled with hand tools

- Proven problem solver

- Skilled at finding efficient workflow processes

- Experience training others

- Ability to mentor

- Automotive enthusiast

Desirable but not required:

- University degree

Design Engineer

Job Summary:

Apply your engineering skills to automotive suspension technology. We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to be a key part of our design team, developing a full range of suspension components including shock absorbers, bushings, swaybars and suspension members including active /semi-active control. This position will participate in all phases of technology development, starting with product ideation, CAD design, prototyping, documentation, operations training, and maintenance revisions.

The position requires a flexible, multitalented engineer proficient with SolidWorks, 3D printing, machine tools (mill, lathe), and mechatronics. Experience developing electromagnetic products, programming, and working with programable controllers is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include development of product documentation (BOM, manufacturing notes, engineering docs) and product instructions. The ability to interact with vendors, customers, and provide technical product support requires an engineer with a "customer service" attitude. Be ready to challenge new ideas and be challenged, working together to produce the best possible automotive suspension systems.

This position demands an automotive enthusiast. The successful candidate will likely have a resume demonstrating track driving / autocross experience, and a history of building cars and tweaking the suspension and setup.

- 10 or more years experience as a Design Engineer with at least 5 years experience in the automotive industry

- SolidWorks proficiency

- Mechatronics experience

- Professional or hobby level knowledge of suspension concepts and setup

- Automotive enthusiast

Desirable but not required:

- Porsche or BMW product design experience

- Programming, programmable controller experience

- PE Desirable

- Track driving / club racing / Autocross experience

Shock Absorber Technician

Job Summary:

Join our operations team in the production of high-end automotive performance parts. Your primary duties will be to build and test shock absorbers for Porsche cars.

Candidate must demonstrate proficiency with hand tools and strong mechanical aptitude. Previous experience with shock absorbers is desirable but not required.

The Shock Technician will build shock absorbers and valving stacks to meet defined performance objectives. Testing will including the operation of a shock dyno machine. Candidate will have the responsibility of keeping the shock room clean, organized, responsible for supplies and reordering as required. Tools and shock room equipment will be maintained and appropriately managed by the Shock Technician. As required by other needs in the shop area other responsibilities or duties may be required.

Desirable experience includes prior shock building and testing, familiarity with shock designs and operation, experience with race car tuning and specifically shock tuning to optimize performance.

We are looking for a Porsche enthusiast. The ideal candidate that fits at Elephant Racing team will likely have completed some autocross or track driving. and a history of building cars and tweaking the suspension and setup.

An Elephant Racing team member will be a person of good character, mature, professional demeanor and customer friendly.

This position is full time position and located at our R&D facility in Santa Clara.

Minimum skills and Requirements:

- Must be a Porsche enthusiast

- Highly mechanically inclined, demonstrable proficiency and experience working with a wide variety of tools

- Minimum High school graduate. Vocational training or college a plus

- Experience with performance suspension tuning and shock absorbers

Production Associate

Job Summary:

If you are experienced with small parts assembly and are enthusiastic about Porsche, BMW, high-end sports cars, and a fast passed production environment, this could be the job for you.

Your primary duties will be product assembly, packaging, and packing of shipments. In this role you will be a key part of our operations team.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

As a Production Associate, you will physically build our products. This involves assembling individual piece parts into completed products and securing in our retail packaging. You must be skilled in the use of hand tools and be trainable to use common shop equipment including presses, grinders, media blast cabinet, lathes, propane torch, impulse sealer, and similar.

You will be building a large variety of products on a rotating basis - your assignments will change daily.

You will package finished goods for shipment to customers. This requires cross-checking a work order against the physical parts pulled by our Inventory Specialist to ensure they are correct. You will select appropriate boxes and pack the products with material to ensure their safe transport. You will record the shipment dimensions and weight.

Secondary duties and responsibilities:

- Shop and equipment light maintenance

- Parts pickup / drop off (a current valid drivers license is required)

- Other duties as needed and appropriate based on candidate skill set

Minimum skills and experience required:

- High school diploma

- 2 or more years related work experience

- Skilled with hand tools and shop equipment

- Mechanical aptitude / mechanically inclined

- Good communication skills

- Ability to read a Bill of Materials

Installation Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking and experienced Alignment and Installation Tech that enjoys working on and around Porsches and BMWs.

Your primary duties will be product installation, alignment, car setup, and product assembly/fabrication.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

As a Installation Technician, you will install Elephant Racing suspension products on customer cars and sub-assemblies. You will perform vehicle alignment, corner balance and setup.

You will perform refurbishment, modification and updating of suspension components including strut assemblies, control arms, and more.

You will assemble and test shock absorbers.

Secondary duties and responsibilities:

- The right candidate will be involved in light machining operations, welding and fabrication so you should have experience with some or all of the following metal working tasks: MIG welding, basic operation of manual mill and lathe, tubing bender, shop press, drill press, grinding, media blaster etc.

- Other duties as needed and appropriate based on candidate skill set

Minimum skills and experience required:

- 3 or more years related work experience

- Trade or Vocational school

- Skilled with hand tools and shop equipment

- Highly mechanically inclined
