New Non-Binding Multi-Axis Sphericals™ Bearings
Santa Clara, CA (December 12, 2012) – Elephant Racing LLC, the leader in performance suspension and oil cooling products for Porsche cars, releases Sphericals™ – a multi-axis heim joint type control arm bearing that accommodates chassis flex without binding. Sphericals make the long-proven performance advantages of heim joint technology available to early 911 series torsion bar cars for the first time. The benefits are more precision in combination with excellent ride quality.
The key is the ball-shaped surface that allows the bearing to self-align continuously, floating independently of the chassis which flexes in response to cornering and braking loads. Chassis flex can cause other performance bushings to bind. Sphericals freely moving ball-shaped design eliminates binding.
