Now after 40, 50, 60+ years of service, many miles on the clock, dried out grease, wear on the bearings, rack and pinion, they are due for maintenance. Our rebuild service tightens worn clearances to restore original control, feel, and feedback.
The rack is fully disassembled, cleaned and cosmetically refurbished, clearances and tolerances are corrected. The rack is then reassembled and freshly greased.
